Shelene is a warm, compassionate, and highly experienced Therapy Assistant and Behaviour Support Practitioner who holds a Bachelor of Primary Education and has over 10 years’ experience supporting children and families within educational and trauma-informed settings.
With a strong foundation in education, Shelene brings extensive experience understanding children’s emotional, behavioural, social, and learning needs across both classroom and therapeutic environments. She has worked closely with neurodiverse children, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, trauma backgrounds, and emotional and behavioural regulation difficulties.
Shelene is currently completing her Master of Psychological Practice at Charles Sturt University and combines her educational expertise with evidence-based, relationship-focused, and strengths-based approaches to support. She is passionate about creating safe, calm, and supportive environments where children feel understood, regulated, and empowered to thrive.
Families often describe Shelene as nurturing, patient, thoughtful, and genuinely caring in her approach. She has extensive experience collaborating with families, schools, psychologists, and allied health professionals to provide holistic and meaningful support tailored to each child’s individual needs.
At Evolve Psychology Services, Shelene will be supporting children and families through therapeutic assistance, emotional regulation support, behaviour support strategies, skill building, and collaborative care alongside our multidisciplinary team.
