Samantha (Sam) is an allied health assistant and behaviour support practitioner that has three years’ experience working with children and adolescents in a therapy support setting and as a disability support worker. Sam has experience with neurodiverse children by running psycho-education sessions to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and other disabilities learn about their emotions, and gain strategies for emotional regulation and to develop their social skills. Sam is eager about working with people across the lifespan, with different presentations, backgrounds and abilities.
Sam is passionate about building positive relationships with clients by using a person-centred approach. Sam understands and appreciates how important a safe and enjoyable environment is for clients for therapeutic and behaviour support goals to be achieved.
Sam enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Hiccup, shopping, playing the piano and finding new places on the Central Coast to eat.
