Bernice is a compassionate arts therapist who brings a trauma-informed, integrative approach to support clients on their journeys of healing and self-discovery. Her practice, shaped by personal experiences with trauma, loss, and grief, allows her to authentically hold space for others as they explore vulnerability, reconnect with themselves, and navigate life’s challenges, strengthen autonomy, and have healthier relationships with self and others.

Bernice draws on her deep interest in the neurobiology of trauma, ancient innate ways of being, and multimodal expressive arts. Arts therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach using creative arts to express, process, and integrate our lived experiences. Passionate about the transformative power of expressive arts, she has worked across diverse mental health settings—including acute mental health, transitional programs, and youth services—helping clients process trauma, build resilience, and find deeper meaning in their lives. Her empathetic, person-centered approach fosters genuine connections, empowering clients to feel seen, heard, and supported on their path to healing.

Outside of work, Bernice enjoys family adventures, from camping, bushwalking, to beach days, watching soccer games with her boys, creating art, live music, and spending time with friends.
